Painted upon returning from studying in Italy, this painting is a scenic view of one
of the many rocky coves that the artist incountered while hiking the mountain sides.

Heavy with paint, the artist used palate knives instead of brushes to carve the rocks
onto the canvas, creating the highly textures rocks.
